The good folk at the Zinoplex are promoting the return of Nancy Robinette to Frozen, and with good reason: She was terrific in the part. It's cool that she gets to run with it.
Tboy hears, though, that she's not back because Kim Schraf (likewise well-reviewed as her replacement) had a conflict that kept her from sticking with the show through its entire extension.
Tboy hears, in fact, that Schraf was asked to step out so Robinette could return to the show.
Tboy further hears that Schraf was a class act, and bowed out without a fuss -- and that the Powers That Be were so impressed by her politesse that she's made some kind of shortlist over there.
Tboy repeated all of this hearsay to the good folk at the Zinoplex, and this was the reply:
The Studio Theatre Secondstage opened FROZEN for a four-week run. We decided to extend the run for two weeks. Nancy Robinette could not continue, as she had a prior commitment. Kim Schraf accepted a two-week contract. We decided to extend another two weeks and Kim accepted another two-week contract. When we decided to extend a final two weeks, Nancy Robinette was available. She accepted a two-week contract and will conclude the run.

The question some will ask, of course, is whether Studio seems to be indicating some kind of dissatisfaction with Schraf by bringing Robinette back in. Tboy assumes that's not in any way the case--and he really doesn't want to seem to be pitting one actor against another here--but he trusts you agree that some will see it that way.
Mostly he's just perplexed by this story.
