So it looks like the application rush for next year's Capital Fringe was more of a rush than organizers expected. Festival director Julianne Brienza put out the word today that wannabe Fringers who get their packets in before Nov. 6 are still guaranteed a slot--subject to tech requirements, natch.
But, sez Brienza: "All Fringe Run applications received between November 6, 2006 and December 29, 2006 will be entered into the Fringe Lottery for the remaining spaces in January."
This is for venues managed by Fringe, Tboy gathers. Off-the-map acts can presumably still be accommodated through whatever process was already in place.
Details are here.
geez! I can't even think about next fringe fast enough to pull something together... guess I'll postpone my project for 2008?
